So I have been having a good look at whats to come at Topshop and I am now more anxious than ever to get my spring wardrobe under way.
There are lots of strong floral and graphic prints in bringt colours that compliment the overall 70s shape really well. Maxi, floaty, billowing shapes make a huge appearance and bring with them, suede tasseled hotpants and beaded detailing on knitwear. The shapes; light and airy contrast the popping colours.
These colours that border acidic, give the sweet, almost hippy prints a real boost that will be sure to take them all the way into summer. Denim apears in the form of hotpants and pinafore dresses layered over shirts in strong colours boasting a ditsy print, and i really can't wait to get my mits on a cream tasseled silk jacket.
But its not all ditsy fun and games, snake print is carrying the harder elements throught to next season, in fabrics ranging from leather to chiffon, and the tassels appear on leather and suede jackets. Think Woodstock and the Isle of Wight festivals of the late 60s and 70s... and dont be afraid to invest in a floppy hat. The Bigger the Better!!
If from this video it is going to be a hot spring, then it's certainly set to be a scortching summer!!
